Goodyear Tire Liner 1912

Goodyear tire liners perform actually like a tire within a tire. The tire liners are used inside of a drag tire and inflated to apply pressure to the inner wall of the drag slick, thus, eliminating the need for beadlock wheels in drag racing applications. Inner liners are manually installed within the drag tire so that you know that the tire can be run in every position of the race car. The purpose of these tire liners is if the outer tire gets cut down, that the skinner tires inside will help give the driver some control to get the tire back, and hopefully get the driver and race car back to the pits to get that tire changed.
